Overview
We’ve been Avocet Hospitality’s marketing partner and Agency of Record since the initial plans for the restoration were announced in early September 2016. Maycreate’s creative team spent hundreds of hours researching this celebrated landmark. A place of legends, ghost stories, and events that changed the history of this city and our country.
We were tasked with redefining the brand voice, bringing both past and present together. By creating, and building a new brand and advertising campaign, a modern-day version of the Roaring ‘20s are alive and well in Chattanooga.
For the historic hotel, we created everything from a clean slate. We started with developing an exhaustive 170-year timeline of historically famous people that stayed at the hotel and events that happened there. We designed new logos, large window graphics featuring fascinating historical stories, hotel signage (interior and exterior), menus, websites, naming rooms, advertising campaign, print collateral, social media, gift cards, room keys, water bottles, napkins, robes, door hangers and almost any other item required to relaunch this landmark hotel.
A modern-day version of an era remembered for its grandeur and opulence is now celebrated at the new Read House.
Brand
The look is a sophisticated, present-day reflection of current times and times past. From the upscale logo, signifying a place of style and class to the dignified signature, all speak to the significance and importance this icon played in the lives of those who were from here and those who visited here. The Read House isn’t just another hotel. It’s a legend.
