Say Hello to Mark Domeracki

 Monty Wyne

He’s well-versed in C#  (not to be confused with music).  He mastered programming boot camp. PHP, JavaScript, and .NET are second nature. If he’s not developing an app or building a website, you’ll find him on a mountain bike or shooting the rapids. Matter of fact, Mark and his buddies once drove 3,800 miles with all the windows down, due to an exhaust leak. The destination? A 10,000-year-old river with plenty of white water. That’s commitment!

He grew up near Disneyworld. Imagination Land was a source of inspiration for Mark. Or, as he puts it, “The world is full of potential if you can just imagine it.” When he turned 13, he and his family moved to Tennessee—Cleveland to be exact. Quite a switch from Orlando. But Mark liked the small-town community and the nearby Ocoee River, perfect for white water rafting.

He’s been all over the country mountain biking. Got his first bike when he was 10. The great outdoors and the world of technology are his callings. And, in that order. He backpacked with his close high school friends almost every weekend. “It was character-building,” says Mark. And those friendships have only grown stronger over the years.

After high school, he wanted to do something meaningful, helping people. He enrolled at Cleveland State Community College and completed a rigorous EMT program. Then came the 3:00 a.m. wake-up calls. The 48 hours on and 48 off. And wondering about what awaited you every time a call came in. Mark said it gave him a new perspective on one’s purpose in life. After five years, he decided to follow in his dad’s footsteps and become a software developer.

He immersed himself in study at Tech Academy’s programming bootcamp. Built static webpages and scalable API’s, became proficient in programming and scripting languages like C# and HTML5, and mastered widely used enterprise databased systems. Since graduation, he’s built software for carpet tufting machines. Created automated processes to improve the efficiency of trucking deliveries. Built data base queries for a health care analytics company.

And now, Mark will put his expertise to work developing websites/web apps, data management and general IT for Maycreate.

Life certainly isn’t boring, when it comes to Mark. A craft beer enthusiast, his motto is “Life’s too short to drink bad beer.” Did we mention he’s also building a mini robot that will feed his cat? And Mark and his girlfriend are into dot painting or Australian Aboriginal art, which is said to be the oldest living art practiced in the world. With that in mind, It’s time we welcomed “One of the More Interesting Men in The World” to Maycreate.
