How To Turn a Living Room Into Amazing...in Seconds?

What’s it take to produce an unforgettable :80 second video for Happy Feet International’s “Quick Fit” Luxury Vinyl Plank, besides a dog, two charming little girls, and a hardworking mom?

A talented creative team with a deep understanding of the product, their audience, and how they could reach them with an unexpected idea that engaged viewers and increased sales.

Abby Webb, Maycreate’s project manager, said “It was all about gaining awareness by humanizing the concept and demonstrating how easy Quick Fit was to install. After that, we had to determine how we could effectively export our message to the social media outlets.”

Anthony Sims, senior creative director, came up with the concept and wrote the script that accompanies the spot. His MFA in Film and experience behind the camera shooting, directing and editing made all the difference in the finished production.

Sophia Wegman, designer & illustrator, Alex DeHart, designer & illustrator, and Abby Webb created the storyboard for the spot. They also took care of props, wardrobe, makeup, location scouting, and set design for the shoot. “All of our roles were very fluid. Everything we did behind the scenes was a true reflection of the brand’s personality and voice,” explained Sophia.

Alex also came up with an entertaining, light-hearted way to animate the spot’s supers, drawing attention to product benefits and adding a bit of humor to the story.

It was an early call the day of the shoot. Everyone was on set at 7:30 in the morning and shooting didn’t wrap until later that evening. Following a review of the dailies, the team knew they had a hit. Our client? They couldn’t be happier.
