She never considered herself an artist, yet she loved doing creative things. Started ballet at age 4. Also pursued jazz and lyric dance. Then, she discovered graphic design her senior year in high school. Her eyes were opened to the importance of branding and logo creation. It was a whole new world that eventually led to Belhaven University, where she graduated with honors and a BFA in graphic design.

She’d worked with “The Nine,” an e-commerce ad agency, her senior year and following graduation. However, she was looking for the chance to apply her talent and skills elsewhere. As luck would have it, she’d been doing some online research and came across Maycreate’s website. She liked everything about it and filled out an application. Time passed and an email arrived from Brian May. Interviews followed. Then came a call with Brian and a job offer. After her “happy dance,” Amelia said yes.
