What's Behind These Logos?
Thursday December 9th 2010

New logos were just the beginning. Remington Industries, the Chattanooga Theatre Centre and the Chattanooga Library were looking for new identities in order to address their changing marketplaces and their evolving offerings.
Remington Industries, which manufactures a number of innovative products for automotive interiors had become an international company with a growing number of license relationships with such companies as Rubbermaid, Michelin and Stanley. They needed a look and a message that spoke to that diverse and competitive market.
The Chattanooga Library literally wanted to wake things up, hence their new tag line, "Nothing Quiet About It." Things had changed in the world of the printed word. Competition had exploded! Amazon, the Internet, Kindle, the iPad and more were stealing market share. The Library had to prove they were not just the place of books, but the new "center of knowledge."
The Chattanooga Theatre Centre had another challenge. They had to elevate, rejuvenate and reinvent "The Theatre Experience." That not only meant offering an exciting alternative to other entertainment venues, but changing perceptions, which began with a graphic transformation of Theatre Centre's building and a new tag line, "We're Live."
