The call for final entries has been issued for the 2010 ADDY Awards, the world’s largest creative competition—over 60,000 entries are made annually. Locally, the competition is heating up. Judges from three corners of the country, Oregon, Texas and Florida, are coming to Chattanooga January 22nd.

Kristopher Hanson, the global executive interactive producer, from Weiden & Kennedy, Anne Grigsby a former associate creative director for J. Walter Thompson and Bryant Price, president and CEO of Agama Advertising are evaluating the work and word is gold won’t be easy to come by this year.

Brian May, president and principal at Maycreate, said, “We’re definitely out to raise the bar. We think it’s time that clients and the national advertising and marketing community recognize the talent that lives and works in this city.”

Maycreate also developed this year’s ADDY Awards marketing campaign, themed “Creativity Plays By A Different Set of Tools.” Each letter in the word ADDY is constructed from the tools creatives employ to concept and create advertising and marketing ideas. A series of striking posters and an unusual invitation were sent to ad agencies, design, marketing and interactive firms in the city.

The due date for entries is January 8th. Students have until January 20th to submit their work. The Awards ceremony will be held February 20th. We wish everyone luck. Last year, Maycreate made it to the National ADDY Finals in Washington, D.C.
