All GOLD ADDY winners are forwarded on to the 7th AdFed District judging in Baton Rouge, LA.
The excitement and conversation grew as the ad community filed into the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. As art directors, copywriters, account and media people made their way past the check-in table, you'd hear comments like, "Wonder if we won Gold?" or "Do you think we got 'Best of Show'?"
As participants headed into the large reception area, there were tables containing the work submitted by various advertising agencies and marketing firms. Here was the opportunity to see just how good you and your competitors were at creating award-winning work. It was difficult to hide one's excitement or disappointment when creatives saw that their work had either been recognized or passed over.
Shortly afterwards, everyone filed into the dining room where the evening's show and presentation was to take place. Following desert, the two hosts, local radio personalities, took to the stage to begin handing out gold, silver or honorable mention ADDYs.
Competition was intense as the awards were announced. As the different categories were cited and members of the staff stood by, one award after another went to Maycreate. The agency won nine awards in all , including an unexpected 'Best of Show' for the Community Foundation's Webisodes and the Judges Award for the clever ATM Campaign for CapitalMark Bank & Trust.
